Carwiz Puts Tampa and Puerto Rico On Its Rental Car Map

The two new rental car outlets brings the company's rental car services to prime tourism locations in warm climates.

Carwiz Rent A Car recently opened two new locations in Tampa, Florida, and in Puerto Rico as part of its expansion into tropical regions.

The new location at Tampa International Airport (TPA) puts Carwiz at one of the nation’s top 30 busiest airports, serving nearly 24 million passengers in 2023. It also complements Carwiz operations in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

The Tampa branch will be run by franchisee Alberto Lucente, who also heads the other two Florida locations.

Tampa International Airport has been recognized for its customer satisfaction, making it ideal for the rental car company's premium service model for business and leisure travelers in the Tampa Bay region.

Further south in the Caribbean Sea, Carwiz has launched its first Puerto Rico car rental outlet in partnership with its franchisee, Go Rent A Car LLC. This new operation puts Carwiz at one of the Caribbean region's most dynamic travel destinations.

As an active travel hub, Puerto Rico welcomes more than four million visitors annually. With its vibrant mix of airport arrivals, cruise ship passengers, and adventurous tourists exploring the island’s rich culture and landscapes, the demand for modern, reliable car rental service has never been higher.

Carwiz International is headquartered in Zagreb, Croatia, and operates more than 450 franchise car rental locations in 57 countries.
