Green Motion Adding Rental Car Services Across Malaysia
The international auto rental company will open its first facility in the country before the end of the year and then expand to six more locations in 2024.

International car rental brand Green Motion recently signed a master country franchise agreement for Malaysia, further rounding out its expansion across the Asia Pacific Region.
Acquired by independent car rental entrepreneur Lokman Hakim Ibrahim, the franchise will open its first location in Langkawi before the end of the year, with rapid expansion plans to support Kuala Lumpur International Airport and downtown opening in January 2024.
Green Motion will also add locations in Kota Kinabalu, Penang, Kuala Terengganu, and Johor Bharu throughout the course of next year.
"This is another step in the Green Motion brand's journey of expansion across the world, with Malaysia representing a key market for us in the APAC region,” said Richard Lowden, the founder and CEO of Green Motion International. “We are delighted to welcome Mr. Lokman and his team to the Green Motion family and to be working with them to develop our brand in their beautiful country.”
