Following the recent promotion of Brenda Azua to chief Americas officer, car rental operator Green Motion has forged ahead with the brand's expansion across the Americas, with the latest signing in Puerto Rico.

Acquired by local entrepreneurs Javier Vazquez, who owns multiple car dealerships in Puerto Rico, and Stephanie Negrón, who has more than 20 years’ experience as an operational and general manager of car rental locations on the island, Green Motion Puerto Rico will initially launch with a location servicing Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport, along with a downtown location in the Isla Verde area.

Green Motion Founder & CEO Richard Lowden said: "I am delighted to welcome Javier and Stephanie to the Green Motion family. Puerto Rico is an incredibly important destination for us, further enhancing our presence across the Caribbean. We are incredibly excited to work with Javier and Stephanie and I have absolutely no doubt that with their vast experience and expertise the success of Green Motion in Puerto Rico is in very safe hands. The signing of Puerto Rico marks the latest in a string of exciting developments for the Green Motion brand at this year's ITB travel show in Berlin, and we are very much looking forward to celebrating similar success at the upcoming International Car Rental Show next month."

Green Motion will be exhibiting at this year's International Car Rental Show on April 16-18 at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. Registration is still open for ICRS at internationalcarrentalshow.com.
