U.K.-based car rental company Green Motion will be part of San Diego’s new Rental Car Center. The eco-friendly fleet will serve customers at San Diego International Airport.
The $316-million rental car facility currently houses 14 car rental brands, including major and independent companies. It can accommodate up to 19 brands. The facility is located near the airport at 2255 Admiral Boland Way.
Green Motion plans to open at San Diego’s Rental Car Center in April.
“The opening at the new San Diego airport rental center is the most recent development for the Green Motion brand,” said Richard Lowden, Green Motion’s founder and CEO. “We look forward to growing our franchises and improving our customer experience with the new state of the art facilities and streamlined rental and return access at San Diego Airport.”
The new Rental Car Center opened to airport travelers on Wed. Jan. 20.
“When I look at the new Rental Car Center, I see a facility that does it all,” said Robert Gleason, San Diego County Regional Airport Authority Board Chair. “It improves the customer experience from start to finish; it helps us maximize use of our 661-acre footprint in a sustainable way; and it bolsters the airport’s role as a key economic driver.”
