Sixt announced the company has been named the best car rental company in North America 2022 at the annual Business Traveler U.S. Awards. This accolade accompanied three awards Sixt received from German publication Business Traveler for best car rental company in Germany, Europe, and worldwide.
The U.S. edition of Business Traveler is a monthly magazine distributed in airline lounges across all main North American airports, as well as private jet terminals, select private membership and country clubs, and high-end business hotels. The Business Traveler U.S. Awards celebrate the best in travel, including all areas of transportation, and nominees are chosen by a select panel of aviation writers, hospitality professionals, and editors.
Sixt was one of five car rental companies nominated for “Best Car Rental Company in North America.” The winners were selected by readers during a three-month voting window. Following many years of recognition in Europe, the acknowledgement received in North America confirms Sixt as a global leader in the car rental industry.
"Being recognized as the best car rental company in North America by Business Traveler is a great honor for us," said Tom Kennedy, president of Sixt North America in a statement. "At the same time, it motivates us to continuously improve the customer experience, especially for business travelers."
Locally, the brand has expanded its market presence in the U.S. and is now located in 38 of the top 50 airport markets, with plans to continue its expansion throughout the country. Benefits for business travelers include a Mobile Checkout service currently available in about 30 airport locations.
