Green Motion recently launched rental car branches in Saudi Arabia, including franchises in Jeddah, Riyadh, Medina, and Damman.
Local entrepreneur Otaibi Alshammari acquired the local franchise after delivering the brand’s environmentally focused rental services across the Kingdom.
This expansion represents a key step in Green Motion’s global growth strategy of providing sustainable mobility in one of the Middle East’s most influential and rapidly developing markets.
"Saudi Arabia is one of the most important and dynamic markets in the Middle East, and this launch marks a major milestone in our development across the region,” said Richard Lowden, founder and CEO of Green Motion, in an April 8 news release. “We are confident that Otaibi’s deep understanding of the local market will help drive success for the brand in the Kingdom."
Initially launching operations in Jeddah, Green Motion’s growth in Saudi Arabia will provide residents and international travelers access to a wide range of eco-friendly vehicle choices.
The launch comes at a pivotal time, as Saudi Arabia undergoes rapid transformation under Vision 2030. Sustainability and tourism are among its core priorities. Green Motion’s expansion into the region is a natural fit, as it offers scalable mobility services.
Green Motion is exhibiting at the upcoming International Car Rental Show in Las Vegas, 14-16 April, and at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, 28 April to 1 May.
